Hai già provato a modificare la voce "'Newest Post in Thread' Redirect URL Format" alla voce "Custom Rewrite Rules"?

Di default dovrebbe essere:

forum[forum_id]/thread[thread_id]-new-post.html

Nel campo personalizzato inserisci, ad esempio:

forum[forum_id]/thread[thread_id].html

O ciò che preferisci.
