Problema htaccess (forse)

Ciao,
ho un sito in joomla 1.5 che sta presentando un problema a livello di url.
Gli url non sonlo riscritti in modo regolare anche se ho effettuato tutte le modifiche del caso su joomla config e htaccess.

Il sito è su godaddy.

Per sicurezza ho sostituito l'htaccess online con uno preimpostato da me e pronto per l'uso decommentato ove necessario.

Stranamente in questo modo gli url generati presentano due volte "/index.php/" invece di eliminarla del tutto.
Il file .htccess è stato caricato su public html e le tre impostazioni in global config di joomla (seo) sono: sì - sì - no.

Per quanto ho visto non sono in uso plugin seo aggiuntivi.

Cosa mi conviene provare o controllare?

se non ci sono problemi a livello di file, il problema sta nel htaccess o nelle estensioni.
Puoi indicare il dominio e postare l'htaccess?

Non sono in grado di dire se negli ultimi tempi è stato fatto qualcosa a livello di plugin.
Precisazione: in uso joomla 1.5.12

no, in public_html

nella root c'è questo .htaccess a seguire (so che dipende da godaddy...).

Prova a spostarlo nella root di Joomla, lì ci deve essere l'htaccess "di Joomla".

Temo solo che godaddy imponga quella soluzione che ti ho indicato. Inoltre ho trovato post con riferimento a specifici .htaccess per godaddy.

Purtroppo non uso godaddy.

A puro titolo informativo aggiungo qualche nota:
la versione in uso di Joomla (1.5.12) pare non compatibile con l'ultimo aggiornamento fatto sul php
il webmaster che ha operato sul sito pare abbia risolto disattivando un'estensione.

A mio avviso, è stato attivato un'estensione senza poi effettuare un check sul sito ed il risultato è stato un sito che andava in panne!

Joomla! 1.5 non è più supportato, ma almeno mantenere aggiornato il sito. Purtroppo quando si prendono in carico questi lavori sono dolori, hai tutta la mia solidarietà.
Ho praticamente 5 siti nelle stesse condizioni, 5 proprietari diversi e nessuno che voglia spendere per migrare/rifare il sito. A volte i webmaster sono davvero chiamati a fare miracoli...
