Sito quasi pronto: ma mi bloccano dei problemi con il Tema.

Ciao a tutti,
ho raggiunto i miei limiti, non riesco ad andare avanti. ho dei problemi che non posso sorvolare, perchè farlo vorrebbe dire fare una brutta figura con i miei futuri visitatori. il mio sito è:

per ora ho fatto in modo che non sia raggiungibile dai motori di ricerca.

1)vorrei stringere la colonna centrale, ho fatto delle prove con il css ma non ho ottenuto nulla.
2) aprendo il sito con internet explorer, sia il 6 che il 7, si verificano 2 problemi di visualizzazione: a) c' è uno strano gap nel footer tra la parte sinistra e il resto
b) il container right e altre immagini vanno praticamente dove gli pare.

Il problema risiede nel mio tema: cordobo green park. Ho provato ad installarlo su un altro mio blog e questi errori magicamente sono scomparsi. mah. Per scrupolo, ho cercato su google.it cordobo greenpark, e anche gli altri blog presentano lo stesso gap nel footer.
Per quanto riguarda l' errore del container.... non lo so proprio.. sarà che ho modificato qualche file, ma si tratterebbe di agire chirurgicamente.

3)loggandomi nel blog non vengo automaticamente loggato nel forum (basato su bbpress)

è un tema con la colonna centrale fluida, ma io vorrei che di default non occupasse tutto lo spazio disponibile al centro, ma diciamo 550 pixel in larghezza
