Modem (interno) driver con Ubuntu

Ciao, ho un portatile IBM thinkpad T43, ho installato la Ubuntu 7.04 ( totalmente ). L'unico problema riscontrato è che non riesco ad installare/configurare il modem interno. Ho provato anche leggendo qualche indicazione on-line, ma niente da fare...
Qualcuno sa darmi una mano ?

fai così, apri la shell e digita

sudo lspci

Il chipset purtroppo non è supportato e dovresti trovare qualcuno capace di crearti qualche triambolo.

Mi auto rispondo: si ho provato anche KPPP... Non avevo letto bene prima... Capito, devo rinunciare al modem interno...
