Jon Lord era uno dei fondatori dei Deep Purple e li aveva seguiti per quasi 40 anni, dalla fondazione del gruppo nel 1967 fino al 2002.

Organista, pianista e compositore, è il tastierista e l'arrangiatore di moltissimi successi del celebre gruppo rock.
