la via più semplice è installare ubuntu server 8.04 ( la 8.10 non va bene )

a questo punto scarichi questo script d'installazione http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/scripts/install.sh

e lo esegui

chmod +x install.sh
sudo ./install.sh

Fatto....e ora??

prova a connetterti https://tuoip:10000

a questo punto dovresti riuscire ad accedere a webmin....da lì in poi ti basta leggere gli help in linea per capire come usare le varie opzioni

E virtualmin?

https://tuoip:10000/virtual-server

se esce una pagina strana che dice che devi configurare, allora hai bisogno di configurare i vari servizi come descritto qui http://swelltech.com/support/virtual-servers/index.html#administration

Ma per installare Virtualmin bisogna avere configurato Postfix? o altro?

no postfix dev'essere installato se configuri webmin per gestire anche la posta elettronica

infatti la prima volta va verificata la configurazione....se c'è qualcosa che non va lui te lo dice e puoi correggerlo

Questo il testo se premo Re-check and Refresh configuration:

ma io non voglio usare postfix...almeno per ora...

in quel caso deve editare la configurazione di virtualmin ed eliminarlo dalla lista dei servizi
